Homepage Hero Settings

How to Set the Default Homepage Hero:​

  • In WebCMS, visit Homepage Hero Settings.
  • Upload your default hero video. (Format: MP4. Max Size: 100MB)
  • Set your default overlay text (Overlay text is not required)
  • The homepage hero section will now display

How to Schedule a Homepage Hero Override:​

  • Once in Homepage Hero Settings, click the Overrides sub-navigation menu.
  • Click "New Override"
  • Upload the video you wish to display. You may reuse videos from the Media Library.
  • Set your start and end date/time. (Overrides are processed at a 15-minute interval.)

What happens if the end date passes and no other override exists?

The default homepage hero settings are used.

What happens if another override is started before the first override ends?

The override with the most recent start date is used.

What happens if the second override ends but the first override is still active?

The homepage hero section will revert to using the first override.

When the second override ends, the homepage hero section will revert to using the default settings.

What happens if no default settings are entered for the default homepage hero?

The homepage hero section will not display.

Can I remove the homepage hero section once I enter the default settings?

Can I use the homepage hero settings on other pages in addition to the homepage?

No, the homepage hero section is only for the homepage.
