My Profile

When you log in to GatherCMS, you can view and update your own profile — the record your church has on file for you. You can update your name, email address, and other personal details at any time.

Accessing Your Profile

After logging in to GatherCMS:

  1. Click on your name or profile icon in the navigation bar.
  2. Select My Profile from the menu.

Your profile page shows all the information your church currently has on file for you.

What You Can View and Edit

Your profile contains the following fields, all of which you can update:

  • First Name — Your given name (required).
  • Middle Name — Optional.
  • Last Name — Your family name (required).
  • Gender — Select Male or Female, or leave blank.
  • Birthday — Your date of birth.
  • Anniversary — Your wedding anniversary, if applicable.
  • Email — Your primary email address, which is also used to log in to GatherCMS.

Editing Your Profile

  1. Navigate to My Profile.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Update the fields you want to change.
  4. Click Save.

Your changes are saved immediately and will also sync to your church's Planning Center account automatically.

Updating Your Email Address

Your primary email address is the one you use to log in to GatherCMS. To update it:

  1. Navigate to My Profile.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Update the Email field with your new email address.
  4. Click Save.

If you change your email address, use the new address the next time you log in. If you have trouble logging in after updating your email, contact your church administrator.

Frequently Asked Questions

I updated my profile but my church still has my old information. What happened?

Changes save immediately when you click Save. If the change is not reflected, try refreshing the page. If the problem persists, contact your church administrator.

My email address is already in use and I can't save my profile. What should I do?

Each email address can only be associated with one account. If you see an error that the email is already in use, contact your church administrator — they can help resolve the conflict.

I don't see a field I want to update, like my phone number or home address. Can I add it?

GatherCMS currently allows you to update your name, email, gender, birthday, and anniversary. Other fields like phone number and address are managed through Planning Center. Ask your church administrator if you need to update that information.

I changed my email and now I can't log in. What do I do?

Use your new email address to log in. If you're still unable to log in, use the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset your access, or contact your church administrator.
